Fred Falke is My Fav

My guess is that you’ve heard of Fred Falke. The remix of PNAU’s Embrace he did with miami horror blew up this summer. He’s been around for a while. He’s another great French electro producer. He and Alan Braxe worked together for a long time and put out some great stuff. The demand for Falke’s music has grown quite a bit. His Synths are honestly perfect. It reminds me of summer sunsets on the beach in California. He is one of my fav producers. He got his start as a bass player in 1995. In turn, the bass lines are super. Very funky, I’d say. A little cheesy and over the top at times which only makes it better. I had a really tough time narrowing down the selection so there’s quite a bit to digest here. If I had to choose my favs are godfrapp’s number 1, kish mauve’s lose control, off the horizon, you’ll stay in my heart, golden cage, and love theme. They’re all really good and definitely worth a listen. Plus a few songs he did with Alan Braxe (esp. black history month and defender) bang pretty hard. There’s just something about his songs and remixes that do it for me. Just tryyyy it

“Musician & Producer Fred Falke started his career as a bass player in 1995 playing in various bands before starting his own production work in the late 90′s. Since then Fred has produced some of house music’s most memorable records over the last few years including his collaboration with Alan Braxe ”Intro” which achieved worldwide chart success and is remembered as one of the biggest dance anthems of the generation. He then followed this up with ‘Rubicon’ another collab with Braxe with the success of his own records demand for Fred’s unique stlye went through the roof and has gone on to remix the like of Jamiroquai, Kelis, Hot Chip and Goldfrapp. 2008 has seen Fred appear almost on a weekly basis on the Essential Selection with his remix of Whitest Boy Alive being named the Essential New Tune, Fred was also responsible for 2 of Miami’s biggest tracks ‘Love Theme’ and ‘Last Wave’ which were featured on his ‘Music for Friends’ EP released on long time friend and studio partner Kris Menace’s label Work It Baby. Excellent post. Have been searching for the Falke catalogue for quite a while, there seems to be no place to purchase any of his newer tunes. If he’s ever in the states I’ll be sure to see him.
