anatomy of a remix pt. ii

nyst01

this track is older and it continues to grow on me. its an epic instrumental in the throwback synth vein. symbolone first got my attention on justice‘s discarded fabric mix. symbolone is associated with valerie, go figure.

stardust

i just love the pace. i can imagine a somber, emotional story behind this one.

symbolone – love juice

moulinex-cutcopy

then moulinex makes it even more epic. i love the added breakdown, and of course their toms and kicks are super tight. we get a progressively more acidic feel. like the track is taking on a life of its own.

symbolone – love juice (moulinex remix)

danger21

and finally, Danger (his myspace is fucking awesome!!) adds his 80′s/tv scoring on acid/ straight gangsterism. its hairy and writhing- lots of 8-bit wildness, funky distorted bass, and wood flute solo! sounds like Snake Plissken in the underworld.

escape from new york – main title

bonus* italian horror flick w/ goblin (justice sampled this tune for the almighty phantom)

    Hey guys,

I have a mix called “Sunset Beach,” from Stay Spun, it starts the Danger remix of Symbolone – Love Juice. After a Cut Copy remix at minute number 35, there is some 80′s remix jam with a girl singing. It is awesome!

Who does the original, who does the remix?

Do you have a track listing for this particular mix?

    Thanks,
    Clay

Nice post, don’t forget the Loose Shus remix, although the others are better I think. Right now I’m going with the Danger remix, woah.

I was looking for a higher than 128 kbps version of the original, but this will do. Thanks.
