treasure fingers (sorry guys, this one is a monster, but read it- i promise yall will love it!!!) is one of the cats who, as far as im concerned, is changin the game. a member of evol intent (his drum and bass/miscellaneous dj work moniker is the enemy), and down with KTN, Computer Club & Co.

his 40 minutes in the champagne room mix changed my life. I honestly can’t go on enough about how utterly perfect this mix is. 40+ tracks in 40 minutes. paced perfectly. leaves you wanting more of every single track. and none of it is really flash in the pan stuff. this mix still stands after a year. track list here.

For the past two years, the DJ and producer born Ashley Jones has been making it rain in the disco with innovative remixes and original tracks. Jones is far from a new jack, having racked up over a decade of international club experience and studio chops as part of the beloved drum & bass group, Evol Intent. Yet as Treasure Fingers, he’s found a way to merge his diverse influences and deep history into a signature sound, packed with intricate basslines, chopped-up, gritty synth melodies, and party-ready drum breaks. It’s already captured the ears of everyone from rock groups Snowden and the Death Set to house legend Romanthony (all of whom requested the Treasure Fingers remix treatment), as well as A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs, who quickly signed Treasure Fingers to their tastemaking label Fool’s Gold, home to Kid Sister, Jokers Of The Scene and other buzzed-about favorites.

“Cross The Dancefloor” is Treasure Fingers’ debut, an inescapably catchy, vocoder-laced dance gem that two-steps over genre boundaries, holding its own against italo classics and electrohouse blog hits alike. As a demo, “Cross The Dancefloor” was already getting spins from A-List DJs like Eric Morillo, Annie Mac, Sinden and Kissy Sell Out, and the track’s official release—a 2×12” gatefold single backed with peak hour remixes from Laidback Luke, Curses! and Lifelike—is destined to blow it up even more. Heavy touring and official remixes for Estelle (Atlantic), Operator Please (Virgin/EMI) and many more will keep the momentum going through the year, and a new batch of equally funky Treasure Fingers originals is already on its way. ok, here’s his website, there are free downloads there… along with a few dope mixes. (his mixes should be studied in terms of selection and transitions… so get em all!) TF hs been busy in the last year, droppin the cross the dancefloor 12″ (BUY IT) on fool’s gold and a ton of fresh disco-lectro (im not a genre-ist) remixes of everything from fergie to thedeathset. he’s done remixes for fellow atlantians snowden, was a regular at kissatlanta’s F*CK YESSS parties w/ le castle vania, rrrump, among others. These ATL cats are running some serious game ! i would love to check out the vibe ! Anyway TF has now relocated to Brooklyn NY- as far as i can tell. Expect big things from him in 2008. i wish i could quit you!
