Snowy Weather Interlude

How about some snow for the holidays? So we got a bunch of snow today here in the mpls area. Rather than venture out I thought I’d bring some holiday music. I enjoy this time of year and the holiday spirit. I’ve worked enough retail though to thoroughly despise most corporate seasonal music and marketing. I guess some of the qualities that intrigue me about music (creativity, originality, or DIY tendencies) are lacking quite often. That’s not say there isn’t good holiday music; even dance music. Tittsworth knows how it’s done. Titts’mas is perrrfect. Yet again, what can’t be done with b-more? I’ve gathered some taste seasonal music, at least about as much as I can handle. So be warned.

B-More Holidaystitt’smas time – tittsworth (2007 edit)september – earth wind & Fire (tittsworth N.Y.E. edit) a very bmore christmas – Alvin & the Chipmunks (Guru kid edit)jingle hells bells (bmore stoopid remix)

If you didn’t know I’m a huge fan of sally shapiro. She released a track titled anorak christmas on her album disco romance. It’s a great song that was originally done by nixon. He’s also a shy swede, but doesn’t pull off the song as well as shapiro. Fittingly Anoraak recently released a remix of the shapiro track that is niice.anorak christmas – sally shapiroanorak christmas – sally shapiro (anoraaks christmas remix)anorak christmas – nixon

Now for some christmas classix……please daddy (don’t get drunk this christmas) – john denverchristmas wrapping – the waitresseschristmas – the who

can’t forget oooold school club and hip hop……what i want for christmas – the quad city djs, 69 boyz & k-nockchristmas rappin – kurtis blowcold chillin christmas – cold chillin’ juice crew

Alright, let’s finish this up with a few quality songs that have little to do with the holidays and have somehow dodge any posts so far. A couple b-more tracks and an amazing remix of the new digitalism track by gooseflesh. The original isn’t that great, I’m not really feeling the new digitalism songs that much (tried to give it the benefit of the doubt). I don’t know much about gooseflesh (Istanbul) but they turn this song into a crazy spaced electro banger (better than their remix of hearts on fire). Stay up this year!
