the chop is mean and the clap is clean
I really like where So Gold‘s sound is going. The break style he’s using is original for bmore. his sampling and chops are off the handle bars and make great dancefloor killers. and as usual, his remix selection is tongue in cheek and really fun. i would define his style as a fun/hard combo of futuredisco and bmore. one thing is certain, this dude’s sound is evolving beyond the confines of the lo-fi breakstyle and sampling of bmore- and incorporating elements of some really cool style and composition. Hop over to his myspace and show love or check him saturdays starting may 6th at sushi tango in uptown. here’s some newnew for that ass:
Shot in the dark (original video HERE) was a monster single off of Ozzy‘s 1986 album The Ultimate Sin. Count on So Gold to rock out on some Glam-Metal shit. Reading a bit about the history of the song- i realized that Ozzy is kinda a Dbag. ha.
the orginal:
ozzy osbourne – shot in the dark
and the SG fix:
ozzy osbourne – shot in the dark (so gold edit)
Next up. Solid Gold are some local guys on some live electro shit. they opened for the ting tings when they were in town. check their myspace for upcoming local dates (grand ole days anyone!?) pretty sure SG refixed this joint just cuz its on some gold^2 shit.

and the SG fix:
solid gold – get over it (so gold edit)
