throw them sets up
this post is about my boy nacey. he’s a member of nouveau riche. they are a trifecta of dj’s and party cats from DC. check out their site here: NRDC site. the NR boys have spun sets with MSTRKRFT, miamihorror, blaqstarr, nadastrom, ac slater, etc.
Recently nacey dropped three remixes. theyve been getting some club play and alot of downloads.
ac slater – hello (nacey remix)
the first of which is for ac slater‘s hello. this song is a fuckin banger and a half on its own. there was a remix contest the song (check it, here). i like nacey’s remix, because its a solid re-imaging. it moves from a kinda miami-vicey dubstep tempo, into a bangin house tempo. i also like how it uses the sandstorm synth.
rye rye ft mia – bang (nacey remix)
next is a remix of rye rye- so hot right now. rye rye is such a badass.
the original is a blaqstarr song with an MIA sample. and again, i like nacey’s reimaging. he is able to take an original thats dirty and remix it in a real clean way- but not thin. i appreciate his sound.

dance area ft austin boston – aa247 (nacey remix)
the final remix is one from dance area. more dancearea press here, including video.
ALSO, the boys dropped a mixtape for a DC clothing designer, DURKL. the mix is tight. check it:

Check out what others are saying...[...] alright, the real reason for writing is to post my boy Nacey’s ‘hold the line’ remix. its a downtempo banger. an airy southern flip of the original. again, nacey comes through with a slick re-imagining. its dark yet hopeful- sexual and violent… dont forget to check out nacey’s clique, nouveau riche, their site, and his other TSS coverage.
