So it’s been a bit since I’ve done a lighter post. I am a fan of much of the stuff that comes out on the dance punk label, DFA (LCD Soundsystem, etc.). Another key player is the Juan Maclean(John Maclean). He hails from Providence R.I. and was an English teacher at one time. He also just dropped a new album April 14th, the future will come that’s nothing short of quality. It’s definitely got the DFA spacey dancey sound to it. At times disco though less than Renault. One day especially is catchy as hell. The icing on the cake though is the surkin remix. He’s flips it into an amazing 90′s runway masterpiece. The video is quality too, def cheesy. Here’s an interview(impose mag), Cop the album here. Ah the future. Niice

REMIXES
To finish things off I thought I’d post a few random gems in the same line as the juan maclean. Two new remixes by eli escobar (check his blog!)and one by jacques renault have surfaced recently that are sexy and smooth. I hope this year continues to treat them well. Both have that spacey disco electro feel nailed so fabulously. See you friday!
