Be forewarned this post is not as dancey as what should be expected from TSS. You may have noticed a track from my mini mix by an artist that goes by the name of DatsiK (Troy Beetles). He’s a 20 year old Canadian Dubstep producer that puts out the most monsterous dubstep tracks. His stuff just feels so mechanically surreal. The Rottun label in general is just on a completely different plain these days. His myspace bio sums it up perfectly, I’m a 20 year old dubstep addict, living in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. I’ve gone to school for audio engineering, I eat sleep breathe audio, and I hope to be doing this till the day I die. He’s just recently dropped an ep/single for the rottun label called Boom (6 tracks) and a collab track with downlink (unreal use of Terminator). Fellow labelmates, Excision, and Flux Pavilion also share the artistic titles. Boom is so massive! I can’t help but compare it to a dubstep version of the new transformers (just listen). I’ll post a couple recent tracks for listening (no downloading sorry, cop it from beatport). Don’t worry though, I’ve got some others that are legit, even one that samples the old video game duke nukem. For good measure, there’s also Excision’s remix of Showdown (Pendulum) that’s sure to drop a few bodies. Last Big UP to the Kid City blog for dropping the filthiest bass. Crank up the sub!
