So it seems peeps have been a minimal tip for a bit now. Russ and I have really been digging Afrojack, Sidney Samson, D.I.M. and of course the Crookers(get the new really good mini-mix). Nadastrom has also been churning out the most amazing minimal tribal as well (IMHO nobody even comes close to them, we love u dave nada). Anyways, Style of Eye (Linus Eklöw), has been grinding on the techno, minimal, percussion scene since the 1990’s. He’s swedish, I can’t get enough of scandanavian artists these days. Most of his stuff has these great build-ups, weird sounds, and amazing tribal beats. It definitely messes with your head (clown, grounded). It’s been a busy year, three EP’s and more recently some monster remixes (little boots, tocadisco, riton). Def get to know Style of eye, and at the very least grab the essential mix, and the little boots, tocadisco, and riton remixes. He started out working in the studio in the late 90ies and began to develop his unique style of music with releases and remixes on such prolific labels as Classic Recordings, Tiny Sticks and Rabid Records – to name just a few – or most recently on Dirtybird and John Dahlbäck’s Pickadoll label.
