An introduction of sorts…

Consider this post an introduction. Compiled here are things that really groove, which is what I think electro should do… If it isn’t drenched in synths, and it doesn’t transport you back to the 80′s, it might not be worth it (I kid). But seriously, my unholy affliction with pop music drives my taste and produces lists like the one you see below:

Flight Facilities put out some cool sounds this week. This hearkens to a sound that was captured in the most recent Bird and the Bee album, simply said, classy and understated disco feeling. Also check out the music video on Vimeo because it is pretty interesting.

Flight Facilities – Crave You (256)

I love the way this builds and hits initially, then just piles sound on the loop until the result is just a rumpus room of energy. Normally I am not a fan of things quite this repetitive, but this Mix Chopin remix really works for me.

Spiral Beach – Teddy Black (Mix Chopin Remix)

Pretty much a perfect track here, synth piano chords are rocking the percussion along with some spacey punctuations floating around behind. Listening to this track again and again, picking up new gems every time. I am hoping to hear a lot more from Lazydisco.

Lazydisco – More Tigers (192)

I really like it when a remix makes a great song even better. Shows profound talent in my book… The Two Door album was in heavy rotation for a while when it came out, and now (thanks to The Twelves) it’s right back at the forefront. Whoa.

Two Door Cinema Club – Something Good Can Work (The Twelves Remix) (192)
